New York, United States of America

New York Hotels

New York is the main financial and cultural center and most densely populated city in the United States. The city is generally called New York City or City of New York to differentiate it from the State of New York, of which is part but not capital; Albany is the capital of the State of New York. New York is today’s largest hub for finance, media, fashion, research and technology; often described as the capital of the world, NYC has also been selected as the headquarters of the United Nations. NYC rises on one of the world’s largest natural harbors; the city is comprised of 5 districts or Boroughs: Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, which were originally combined in one city in 1898. A diversely and culturally riched city, New York offers an incredible variety of activities; many famous Museums and Monuments welcome more than 50 million visitors every single year.

Where to Stay

Most first-time visitors panic and ask "what is the best and most convenient area to stay in?" There is no one best area to select in New York City. The public transit system takes tourists safely and cheaply to about 95% of tourist attractions, 24 hours a day, 7days a week, 365 days a year. It really depends on what kind of lodging you need, your budget and what you want to do and see while you're here. Some neighborhoods are more residential, and some are more commercial. Some, such as Times Square, are teeming with tourists. Some, like the Upper West Side or Chelsea, attract fewer tourists.
